Here is a little background about how Karma Krafts came to light.
About 8 years ago, I fell in love with clay when a good friend of mine asked me to accompany her to the pottery studio. I touched the clay, played with the clay and formed crazy shapes that in fact, were completely non-functioning and quite unattractive. These creations lead me to taking classes at The Clay Queen and The Art League School in Alexandria, VA. At the Art League School I got involved with their student/work program to learn the ins & outs of ceramics. Whether I was working on the pug team, glaze team or the kiln team, I was enthralled with the entire, glorious process of taking a mound of earth & transforming it into a work of art. Over the years I have been evolving as a potter and have a lovely line of porcelain and raku soap dishes, vases, bowls and display plates.
Working with clay yields a very dirty and messy potter, so I thought what better way to get clean without the harsh chemicals/detergents of store bought soap, so I created my own natural and organic line of soaps that would clean and yet be gentle to a potter's hand. I always use natural and organic ingredients in all my soaps, ranging from the lavender that I grow in my own garden to the essential oils..not fragrance oils, that I use. At some point in my life, I came to the conclusion that soap made with natural ingredients is always best for the skin....the largest and most susceptible organ of the human body. With all the pollutants we encounter daily it is good to give your skin a fighting chance with soap that is not manufactured with animal fats, artificial colors, fragrances and preservatives. Karma soaps have healing, soothing, invigorating and calming effects on the mind, body and soul.
I created Karma Krafts because of my love for nature and I enjoy working with my hands. When I combine my giving disposition and positive energy with my desire to create things that are beneficial to humans and the earth, you get Karma Krafts. Having Karma Krafts fills me with immense satisfaction and it just makes me feel good. It is those good vibes that go into what I create and therefore gets passed on to you...in the hopes of bringing you happiness and peace.
